"ERA'S Colors of the Wind"
Date of Birth: Feb 26th, 2002
Briar was born here at our house, and we fell in love with her and decided
she'd make a great addition to our family and breeding program. Briar's parents
are Hailey and Ch Salemi Charly

Briar is much like her mother, Hailey. She is a quiet unassuming little 'alpha' who is just
naturally in
charge. Briar does what she likes, in other words! But you can't help but love her and laugh at her antics.
When she's happy, her entire rear half wags, much like you'd see a Golden Retriever do!
She
loves to show us her bones and toys (just like her mother does) but we're not allowed to
touch
them. She is just always proud to show us she has them, with her little rump going to
and fro
in big swishing movements.
Briar is full of colors, being a gold brindle. She changes colors constantly and we never
know
what she'll look like from month to month. She stands 10 inches at the shoulders and
weighs, around 11.5 lbs. She is very eleqant, like her sire, Charly, and has beautiful
shoulder layback and a perfectly arched neck. She has a strong reach and drive, and a
beautiful
springy Havanese gait. This girl can cover some ground when she moves in the
ring, and I
have a hard time keeping up with her sometimes. Briar is from two straight
fronted parents, so she herself, of course has a nice straight front, which is important to
health and is part of the AKC standard.
She has a beautiful head and expression and dark
almond eyes. Her rise in the rear is perfectly
angled and she is an overall well balanced
girl, with again alot of elegance. She's beautiful
to watch.
She is major pointed, having earned 3 majors so far towards her championship.

Briar loves to play Jack's game which is steal someone's chew bone or toy and 'runlikehell.' She and Jack can play this for hours in the back yard on a nice day and seem to never grow tired of teasing each other. It's not quite so fun (for me) when they are confined to the house on cold or rainy days, as they love to use the couch and love seat as their spring boards, as they bound around the living room chasing each other and trying to get each other's toys. The two of them seem to have boundless energy for play. I wish they'd share some of it with me! (grin)
