On Sunday, August 10th, '03, Steve and I hosted our first annual ERAS Puppy Picnic
at the
Kankakee River State Park, in Kankakee, Illinois. We had a great turn out
and
those of
you who were unable to attend, we missed you!! Hopefully you can join
us next year, as this
was such a success and such a fun day for all, that we will
definately be doing it again next year!
Invited, were all our puppy buyers, their families and of course their puppies/dogs!
We had delicious and abundant food, great weather, lots of laughs
and so many happy wagging Havanese tails! In true Havanese fashion, the dogs
seemed to enjoy it as much as we humans did!
There were many highlights from our day with so many of our puppy buyers, friends and our past puppies,
but one of the biggest highlights for us was when Steve and I were honored with a gorgeous ceramic plate,
from our puppy buyers! We were
completely surprised and touched by this thoughtful & generous gift.
Both Steve and I will cherish it forever!
(Nancy Thompson commissioned an artist in Chicago to make it for us so it's an original one of kind!)
Thank you sooooooo much you guys! You are truly the best 'puppy buyers' in the world!
We are blessed to have you all in our lives through our dogs!
